My imagination or does it seem that we're getting more posts from some people we haven't heard from before. Glad you folks are jumping in. To others "waiting in the wings:" Jump in, it's a friendly place. Raymond San Jose

It's not your imagination...so far 24 members with 5 or less posts have posted this month. I'm sure the summer music camps and the August giveaway have contributed to this. Whatever the cause, everyone is definitely welcome and it's nice to see all the new faces!
And welcome to our newest member, luthier Hank Mauel.

In another thread, we talked about Hank's small guitar, called the "Shasta" that is very much like the design used by guitar makers at the turn of the 20th century. Now that Hank's web site is up and running on a new server, you might want to take a look at his pix of the guitar he made for Sarah. Note the size and shape and compare it to the pictures in Ozzie Kotani's tab book. The only ways it differs from those are: I had Hank make it 14 frets to the body and it is a tad deeper than the old-timers.

And, of course, too see Hank's full site, just eliminate everything after .com

That was a real fun project, and you didn't have a clue! Reid and I kept the lid on for months! Thanks for all the positive comments about my instruments from you and Reid. It's too bad you couldn't get out to the Healdsburg Festival. You would have loved the Shasta and Tuolomne models that got put into your favorite G tuning. Both went to GOOD homes.
