So my A string broke, so I bought a couple sets of soprano strings for my uke online. I got em, and instead of GCEA strings, they sent BFDA. What the hell? Should I just work from these, like tune the B to an A, F to a G, and D to an E, or is that how they're supposed to be? Am I just a retard or should I look around for a different set?

I've never heard of BFDA strings. If that's in fact what they are then you can probably get away with tuning the D to an E and the B to a G since the difference in tension would essentially cancel each other out. But the F to a C I wouldn't mess with. Can you return them and get what you want? |
Craig My goal is to be able to play as well as people think I can. |
