Ever since Mark Hanson recommended a nail product in January, I have searched around for this...
"Antimicrobial Nature Nail Hardener" by Perfect Choice--obtained on the West Coast at a Fred Meyer store (owned by Kroger)... and haven't found it in Colorado, Tennessee or Texas! It's produced at Woodward Labratories in California... But didn't turn up in initial web searches... Our Kroger store is called King Soopers, and they don't have anything similar. (Of course guys, be careful when shopping for nail products in Texas, you may get lynched!) And Colorado aint' exactly Red-neck free either...
Anyway, this is a fairly natural product (as these products go) with Vitamin D, Myrrh, and Mimosa ( not the beverage!) And apparently effective in about two weeks.
Does anyone else in the Taropatch have knowledge (or interest?) in this area?
Of course, better nails are the least of my playing problems at this point--but wanna be ready for the "rich and famous" contract when the time comes! Gordo P.S. OK, so it's not a macho subject--but back off dude, I'm an artist!

Drink myrrh and mimosas for two weeks and you'll be hard as nails...does that count?
Check out Dr. G's Larutan here...sounds like the same thing:

I do play my best music when my fingernails are just the right length, which is almost never because I keep breaking them. I've tried to play with every brand of fingerpick known to man/woman and nothing compares to the uninhibited fingernails. Last year I asked a dematologist about nail products and he said, "Save your money for a new guitar. Calcium suppliments may help but basically just drink a lot of Wai (H2O)". Today, without the calcium suppliment but "Choke" water intake my fingernails and music are doing well. No more over the counter fingernail products for me thank you and alooooooooha! |

My right hand, index nail "Fought the car door, and the car door won!" Nail going, going--soon gone!
Seems late at night, a few of us in the taropatch adventure out where the busses don't run! Not that that's a bad thing... Bing qweative is sehr gut, ja?
But I may try the nail stuff if available... Thanks for feedback Myrrh to follow G |
