You're welcome. Sheila took the picture one sunset at the Mauian a couple of weeks ago (seems like a year ago ). |

Aloha Dusty and Sheila, I had to smile when I saw the photo and ran to get my evening cocktail... You really surprised me that evening when you and Sheila walked up to me and grinned at me! I had to look at you twice before I realized it was you. Out of context, you know, I thought you'd be on Molokai. Didn't we have a wonderful week? I have some neat photos of that time as well, and as soon as I can get them organized, I'd be willing to share them on a CD. I think it would be neat to collect lots of photos from everyone and make a giant album. I miss everyone, and I certainly miss the beautiful sunsets. Julie

What a wonderful time at George and Nancy's camp! Couldn't be better, and so much to absorb. It will be hard being away from the ohana for a whole year. Impossible to thank everyone properly. Special thanks to andy for hints to double slack swing. To dusty for inspring me to try to play more cleanly. To julie for that voice. To ed for all the songs. To ...... see I told ya.

Hi Jim (Garson), It was great to play with you at the Mauian and hear you sing "Kaulana Kawaihae" at the kanikapila! I hope to get back to the camp someday, too. So relaxing, so much fun, so much slack key to teach our fingers. Jesse Tinsley |

Hi Jesse, I'll never forget sharing the back seat with you on the journey to Kahakuloa. An amazing number of songs and beautifully sung. ALso thanks for the CD. It will inspire me to learn songs. I really love the way you do a song I do not know that ends: Hana oe a kani pono in the last line of the first verse. Chicken skin fer sure.

Thanks, Jim! You have my permission to learn as many songs as your brain can hold so that we will have many songs for our next kanikapila. The song you're referring to is Keali'i Reichel's version of "Kananaka." Jesse Tinsley |
