I'd like to give a big public MAHALO NUI LOA to Fran Guidry.
Fran spent some time with me last week, teaching me a few things. I have been playing a long time but am very new to slack, and it has honestly been a bit of a struggle for me so far.
However, Fran took the time to show me a few things that have really helped me out. I'm sure if you asked, he'd deny that he did anything special. That's the kind of guy he seems to be. But just by watching him play, and him showing me a few simple tricks, my slack key playing has improved immensely.
Fran is a Mainlander, but has the heart of Hawaii, and the spirit of Aloha.
Thanks again, Fran.

Kevin, what a session indeed. Several folks around Taropatch.net-ville have met you and experienced your music and your heart, they all talk about how sweet and inspiring are both. I'm now one of those fortunate folks, and I can only say thank you, because I have no words to convey how special the experience was. I now, for the first time, think I understand nahenahe.
