Aloha,
We're going to Maui in mid-October. Chill in Hana a few days, then Kihei-Wailea area. I'm a rookie slacker working Mark's book and Led's video. Can anyone recommend a teacher in the Kihei area?
Mahalo for any suggestions.

Well...how about Uncle George Kahumoku? I understand he's "pretty good"!

Or you can join us at our Saturday kanikapila at Waihee Church. Do let us know the exact date so our Waiehee Ohana can keep the date free.

Aloha e Janis,

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner; still dealing daily with the aftermath.

Two people I know of, but lost their details with the fire.

One is Robert and he is listed as an instructor on the Maui Community College Schedule, which, last I checked was available online. He teaches a slack a key course and does lessons i Kihei.

The other is a fellow whose name I have forgotten but I can draw you a map to his house. H is just south of Maui Sunset, two doors down from that big wall with all the designs on it.

Both of these fellows are very nice. They charge much less than George.

Hope we can play soon.
