Here's a good example of quadrant tuning make the grade. This is based on Sol Hoopii's version of Feelin No Pain. I'm tuned in A major (lo to hi: A C# E A C# E) but this'll work in standard Dobro tuning as well.

Note how the different quadrants are used to good effect... including that tricky SW quadrant. It took me a long time to figure out that's what he was doing.

This recording is a little "glitchy"... some dubious intonation... and unfortunately I engineered in some clipping that I intend to fix at a later date. Otherwise, enjoy.

Sweet tuning! Very similar to E A C# E A C#, which is used on a standard steel string by David Wilcox on his song "Burgundy Heart Shaped Medallion". This, too, is a quadrant tuning. See what you think on a more standard guitar. For a Dobro, I think G C E G C E would be the equivalent.
