I noticed that Homespun tapes has finally put out Bob Brozman's instructional video "Learn To Play Traditional Hawaiian Guitar" in DVD format! And they dropped the price to $29.95! It's an excellent instructional video for learning to play Hawaiian acoustic lap steel.
On a related note, Stacy Phillips has written a Volume II of his "Art of Hawaiian Guitar". It'll be similar to the first volume - transcriptions of vintage Hawaiian steel guitar tunes. Mel Bay was originally scheduled to put it out in the Fall of '04, but the last I heard the publication date was pushed back to mid-2005.
