Just got back from an Alison Krauss (& Union Station, featuring Jerry Douglas on steel guitar)
Hey, it ain't slack key, but have you ever heard Jerry Douglas on the Dobro??

Mike, If you are just now discovering Jerry DOuglas, you hae some serious catching up to do. Yes, he is one of the best, has played with everybody in country and bluegrass, and has some great solo stuff as well |

Yeah, I just bought a Ledward Kaapana CD, Jerry Douglas is involved with two songs. He does seem to get around. Wonder how Alison Krauss keeps him on tour?

It's more the other way around. Jerry was Allison's mentor, promoter and producer.

That makes more sense. Makes ya wonder if Jerry is going to cut the rope soon...perhaps bring in another player to replace himself?
