Aloha - this is a personal request that doesn't deserve a "reply all" response.
I would greatly appreciate any information about a nice, reasonably priced place to stay on Maui. Am looking for a motel room or other accomodations for June 16 close to the harbor, and four nights after extended stay at AMC, June 26-29.
Hi Larry, I'm not an expert on Maui, but I spent many hours online researching my one trip there. Your first night is probably going to be in a hotel, but a condo is probably your best bet for your four days after AMC. We found a very reasonably priced one at www.kapalua.com We stayed at the Papakea Resort in Honokowai area and loved it. But if you want something within walking distance of Lahaina Harbor, your options are more limited and somewhat less peaceful because of the traffic and congestion.
My wife and I recently stayed at the Grand Wailea. It is very expensive but definately worth the money. Also we enjoyed our stay at Kaanapali Beach Hotel which actively supports Hawaiian cultural events.
