So, with great difficulty, I've decided to go to George's on Maui in June...
Moloka'i another time.

A room at Napili Village is probable, but will check for the Mauian cancellation list (yea, right).

Anybody interested in sharing a 2 bedroom rental at Napili Village --or Mauian?

I arrive Monday June 20 and fly out the following Monday (27th).

I'd love to keep expenses down a little...
But I'll probably book a single for now...unless I hear voices.

Either here or at e-mail.
Also will be looking for transport to and from Napili area both Mondays.
I'll check in with Nancy in the next couple days for any info they have to offer.

Gordon,

Kihei is usually less expensive than Napili.

I'll be driving up each day from north Kihei. Offer is open to anyone who would like to ride or carpool.

I got the schedule for the Maui camp from Nancy Kahumoku. If (any of ) you would like a copy,
email me, and I will be happy to send it on. I am hoping Nancy gets it going on the web site soon,
but some people like the immediate gratification of email.

I am also interested in finding out if any Taro Patchers will be swinging by the Big Island after
either Camps. The Big Island is such a wonderful place, and we have John Keawe, Chris Yeaton,
Keoke Kahumoku, Darlene Ahuna, Bruddah Smitty, and a bunch of other musicians over here.
Let me know if you are coming. We'll leave the volcano on for you...

Aloha,

I probably prefer to stay closer...
I like to take short breaks from camp action...I will probably reserve a room (1 or 2 bedroom) at Napili village early next week.

I talked with Nancy...
Ozzie will be there all week!

But I'm still interested in sharing if the person isn't weirder than me!!! Or snore louder...

We'll need an independent judge of course...
But I'm mellow.

Aloha Gordon, exactly where is Napili Village? And is it a two-bedroom condo you'll be renting? My 23-year old son Corey is coming as well, and it gets a little pricey with two rooms at the Mauian. I'm so glad I'll get to see you there again. Hugs,
Julie

Napili Village is right next door...just walk across the lot. It's immediately south of the Mauian.

I saved a room with a king and queen...I'll check on whether that's a queen sofa or other.

The divider slides for moderate separation at night...but otherwise it's nice to have a little extra ventilation. (I don't remember air, just fans.)

They have a good pool, and it can be sorta nice to escape the camp, yet be right there. It takes about two minutes or less to walk over.

George's rate at Napili is $89 a night...(not their fanciest, but respectable) and it won't change for the extra person, so sharing would help the budget.

Drop an e-mail or whatever...we'll see if this works for Corey and you.

They also offer a good deal on rental car rates...but I'm skippin that one this time, even though I've never seen much of Maui outside camp and the commute!

--reckon that's another time. Besides, we're in a pretty good place.
a hui hou, let me know.

This is still an open option...Napili Village room share anyone?
It needs to be a good situation for both roomates...

I usually stay up a short while after the kanikapila...snack, read, unwind ( maybe even pick)...but since the walls have ears late at night, I usually take it to the beach, or somewhere away from the "day people".
But since there's good stuff at the classes each morning, I probably won't stay up till zero.
Anyway, I'll try to be considerate if I'm restless.
I'll check with Nancy this week to see if there's another person out there looking for a room to share.
I can also check with Napili Village to see if there's another floor plan...
It's kind of a family type setup with the sliding divider and 1 bathroom right now...

Just prospecting ways to tighten the budget and perhaps have another music person to talk story.
