When I stopped in at the Hawaiian Ukulele store in the Aloha Tower Marketplace during our recent visit to O`ahu, I met a new `ukulele star who just knocked my socks off. Her name is Diane Rubio, and her specialty is chord melody playing in the style of Lyle Ritz. I was pleased to learn that she has a website with some music clips and information on her performance schedule.

Check out her clips, and if you're in Honolulu pay her a visit and buy a few ukes!

Hey Fran, I checked out Diane's homepage and heard her clips. It sounded terrific! I already sent her an email to give her my comments. I think everyone should take a listen!

Hey Fran, My goal in my music life is to promote this wonderful instrument. The more the merrier! Jake is doing his thing, James Hill is doing his, and Daniel Ho too! All of us should respect one another and encourage everyone who plays a instrument!!!!!! Music has a big chunk of our lives in its hands. Without music, life would be boring! Well, to me that is! SO, SHARE IT! I think Diane has a great future on the 'ukulele. Hopefully I get to see her perform in person soon! She should record a Cd so everone can enjoy her musical feel!
Hey Andy, I will be on the east side next week. Email me and give me your contact info!

I have to agree, she is wonderful! She has a good taste for jazz and plays very clean notes, too. Yes, she does have a great future on the ukulele.
By the way, hi Herb!!
