Aloha e Doug (and Patrick)
If you get hold of Bill Dudley (www.billdudley.com) he may be able to "roust up a passel of pilgrims" for a lesson or two. Bill is into folk (Contradance) and hosts a folk radio show out there in them "braakesh whauters full a pirates and such" (Tampa). He hosted George Kahumoku a year or two ago on WMNF community radio in Tampa. Tell him You are trying to organize a slack-key workshop and he may attend as well. Last I heard he may be moving up Gainesville way, but worth a try gettin him.

So, Patrick... Let's say, if we get 10+ folks, would you come up to Eugene? We're not a vacation mecca like Orlando (unless you like river rafting, camping, or fly fishing, but the interest in learning slack key/ukelele is certainly here. Would you consider a whistle stop here on your way to Seattle or Portland someday? You don't have to answer this right now. Just putting a bug in your ear.
Still trying, Maggie |

Right on, Patrick! You may be fishing trout or whitewater rafting on the McKenzie River before too long! It's not the Tower of Terror, but just as exciting! We may just try abd cook up a little workshop opportunity here. I will be in touch with you about this down the road, ok?
Always plotting, Mags

Please count me in, too. We'll be here the rest of 2005 but have decided that we're westerners and badly miss Western mountains and people. Florida's flat in several ways, but a bit of slack key would elevate us in no time.
