It seems that there is no safe place on the Internet including Taropatch.net. I've been warned that one of our more recent members (whose account has been locked) had emailed some of our members who had listed items for sale in the classifieds. Fortunately, nobody can see your email address unless you reply to them.
These bogus emails indicate interest in the item for sale. In the next email exchange, the prospective buyer explains that he will pay using a money order which is in a larger sum than the asking price - therefore, the product needs to be shipped along with a refund in the difference of the price.
Please ignore these emails if you receive them and notify me asap so that the offending person's account can be locked.
Aloha, I have received three such replies to a boat I have for sale.Two from England and one from South Africa. I called the FBI and they said they can't do anything and told me to disregard any others.............Doug

It's too bad that there are lots of bad guys out there.
