Excuse the redundant post Andy...
Who knows something about the small guitars that Daniel Ho and now George were playing...

They sound so cool, both live and on Daniel's cd's.

KoAloha brand?
Is it up a 4th or 5th...
and does Daniel use his preferred
D,G,C,G,B,E tuning ...

It seems George's was in an open C...
and I seem to remember that Daniel may use the same interval relationships as his "regular" (dgcgbe) tuning,
but possibly at a different "home" key.

I always forget to ask some really basic questions when I have the teachers right there.

I posted something on the workshop forum for you, but in a nutshell, it's KoAloha's new D-6 uke designed by Daniel Ho and the KoAloha folks. You can tune it to any open tuning, which is different from the standard 6-string uke. It is the bomb!
