Many of you know Dennis Lake for his fine ukuleles. Some of you know him from Aloha Camp, and a few of us live here in the Big Island, and get to spend time with him.
He just turned 60 today! Congrats, Dennis!

Anyone who would like to send him a birthday wish can find his email address at:

60???

Dennis, my dear, you told me you were 45! And I fell for it!
Ah, but age aside, you do make THE most wonderful instruments. For instance, the guitar you just sent me is such a beauty, I cannot take it to Moloka'i, for I would not want to risk that, but I would sure love to show it off.

I hope your birthday was very grand, just like you. Lots of hugs,

Julie (owner of many fine instruments and master of none. Sigh...)

Dennis:
I just spoke to you last night and you didn't let on! Be well and keep crafting those fine instruments like Island Uke.We'll sport our Kamaka shirts next summer.
Aloha,
Sandy.

Oh my .. haven't had time to wander in the patch for a while. Missed this thread wrapping itself happily around the .. could it be 60 year old body of Dennis Lake. Dennis, you are my hero. I love my new ukulele and hate to be parted from it. Julie .. I'm taking my chances and bringing it to February camp. I had a wonderful one-on-one with Raiatea Helm at the November Waimea workshops and she really liked it, too. Thanks Kona Bob for starting this Dennis thread.

Me ke aloha,
Lynn
