Aloha John! Welcome to da 'Patch!! For those of you who missed them, his picture is on the thread when we were down at L&L for Rik's birthday. We met him when he came to Keoki's slack key workshop at John Dietz place (Dietz Bros, MB). He plays well and has written and played some really nice pieces. Enjoy!! n |

He was nice enough to give me a copy of his very fine CD, "Leeward". He played his original, "Mother's Milk" for us and we were awed. Here is his interesting web site:

Aloha I'm new to da 'Patch...I live in Santa Clarita and work 60-70 hrs a week in Culver City. When I'm not working, driving or sleeping I'm trying to play slack-key...I'm signed up for the June Aloha Music Camp on Moloka'i and would enjoy jamming before AND after...So, what's happening in the kani ka pila world on this side of the San Fernando Valley? T. Dan |

Dan came out to see me play at Gale's Perks coffee open mike ( Balboa & Nordoff ). He played some beautiful original slack key guitar pieces in the lounge after the show. Hope to play w/ him soon; very talented! |
