The most recent podcast on the Hawaiian Concert Guide is an interview with Steven Espaniola, featuring several tracks from his new CD, "Ho`omaka," and these tracks are very very sweet indeed.

Looks like the CD is not released yet, but based on these preview tracks it's one to seek out.

Listening to the podcast - oh my, it's great. I've admired Steven's instrumental skills but had no idea he could sing so deliciously. I want that CD, for sure.

Yeah, and play too. Sweet falsetto for sure.

Aloha mai kokou!

I too am equally astounded at Steven's array of musical talent. He will certainly go very far indeed! :) Can't wait to hear the rest of the CD... :)

For those that would like to hear a bit more of Steven, head over to the KPFA.org web site and listen to this archive from their API Heritage Special from last Sunday. Fast forward to about the 52 minute mark and you'll hear a short 12 minute interview with Steven where he plays two numbers live and in studio including "Pua Lilia" and "Kalama'ula"! Great stuff!!
