Barefoot Natives, the duo of Willie K and Eric Gilliom, self-titled album is out. Individually, neither really needs an introduction but together - perhaps not so surprisingly - there is magic. I have not seen the duo play live yet but their personalities and humor come through their website and PR.

There is some really fine musicianship here all delivered through a variety of island contemporary and new takes on Hawaiian traditional songs. Cool graphic design too. This album could be big.

I have the CD and it is a real treat. They will be in San Diego in two weeks for a concert -- that should be fun.
