I have been meaning to mention that there is a traditional Hawaiian music internet radio station http://am940hawaii.com/ many of you may know about it already. My friend Keaumiki Akui has a show weekday mornings from 7-9 AM local time. Those of you who have attended the slack key festivals have seen him as the MC. I have been on the show for interview and some live music, but he also has interesting guests as well! This station is not dedicated to slack key, but plays a lot of it. Keaumiki is a great supporter of Ki ho'alu. The main thing is that currently they do not play any "Jawaiian" format...hopefully it stays this way. Don't get me wrong, to each their own, it's just nice to be able to listen to the good old days! Try it sometime!
