I know you are probably doing chores to get ready for the Holiday tomorrow. What are you listening to right now? I am listening to some faster moving stuff to keep me energied for cleaning (got 20 people to feed tomorrow). I'm listening to Ata Damasco sing "Uluwehi o ke kai"; and "Na Mele o Paniolo" CD with Gary Haleamau, Kindy Sproat; Leabert Lindsey, Sonny Lim, et al. Love dem cowboy songs, esp. Kilakila na Roughrider.

My wife and her girl friend doing taxes. Fun huh?
But last night I was listening to the T-patch's own Maggie Matoba and her little group, "Sweet Aloha", on their demo disc. Good stuff. Especially their rendition of Pua 'Olena. Iwalani has an awesome voice and there's some really great uke work too. Someday I hope they will have a CD that they can share with all of us. |
