Aloha Fellow Taropatchers!
I am going holo holo to the SF Bay area next week and among other things plan to go to Timmy's Island Grill to catch the music on Thursday, take a slack class from Keoki on Friday, and go to the Ukulele Festival in Hayward on Sunday. I know Diana and Jerry will be at the festival, but I'm guessing others will be as well. Is anyone performing? If so, what time? I've asked for a schedule, but it's a secret (they don't publish it....).

Of course you know that Herb Ohta Jr. is playing and Keoki will accompany, and also the Side Order band (the "Kamaka Uke Company band") are also playing.

Yup; know that Herb and Keoki will be there. How about YOU? I'll have to make sure to catch the Side Order Band. I'm not all that familiar with the Uke bunch....
thanks

At times like this, I wish I had ordered my TaroPatch buttons long ago. It would certainly help us find each other...

We hope to be there, but I'll have to control myself with all those beautiful ukuleles lying around, ready for purchase.

Hi Folks, I will be there again this year. I will have a Dominator Ukulele Tab tag around my neck so I should be fairly easy to spot. Just look for the bald spot on my head. It's a dead giveaway.

Tonya Dale mentioned over at Flea Market that she was in contact with Bryan Tolentino of Side Order Band and he said he would not be attending Hayward this year. Chris Kamaka will be there but I don't know if he will be performing or not.

Looking foward to meeting some Taro Patchers so please say hello.

Well, I'll be there and I do have a TaroPatch sticker on my Gator hard case. I'd really enjoy meeting any of you--please introduce yourself if you see the sticker. And I'm definitely not on stage! But I'd love to joing some friendly jamming in the courtyard in the afternoon with anyone who wants to. A side note on the Side Order Band--I don't think Bryan Tolentino will be part of the playing group at Hayward this year.

--We posted at the same time, Dominator. Gee, and I wondered how I'd recognize you ; )

I'll be there.

Has there been any confirmation of which vendors will be at the festival? I'm in the market for a tenor uke.

Thank you, Hiram. I'm sharing this with members of our new ukulele group (who are traveling four hours one way to get there and see it all!).

Any request? What do you want to hear at the Hayward uke fest his weekend? I have 2 songs worked out and time for another short one. What do you guys want me to play? Doesn't have to be Hawaiian.

Hiram, since you asked....my vote is for anything by Jake other than Weeps. Not that I don't like that one but I'd rather see you play one of his other tunes.

How about a Peter Moon tune like "Pandanus" or "Black Orchid"?
