Good job. I sent you an E-mail for the tab.

By the way, when is your Baritone uke slack key book coming out?

Thanks, Uncle Dave. I'm trying to learn this song and the video will help a lot.
When I've heard it by others, they speed up the hui, then slow down again for the verse. Is that traditional?

Right. When the original guys did it at the Moana Hotel they slowed down to do the vocals then speeded up with steel guitar on the hui. My arrangement is an abbreviated version without vocals. Mahalo.

E kala mai, Dave.
I had seen Hula Blues video, then watched the Hole Waimea video and that's what I had posted about.
Brain cramp.

"Hui" = slack key repeating pattern?

Thank you.

I used "hui" to mean "group" which I understand to be the chorus where everyone sings.

"Uncle Dave", you are the most inspirational musician on YouTube!

I had to get out my ukulele last night when I saw your video, and utterly fail to even come close to the slack key elements you were employing!

I've never enjoyed failure so much! Please keep it up!

Thanks for the lesson in "da blues".

Thank you.

Absolute - Work the tabs. When you get my book you will see how easy it is to do it by holding the parallels up and down the fret board. When I finish the tutorial video for hula blues I'll send you the URL. It's for the advanced portion of the book to be mailed to those who buy the book but I'm sharing with this chat room for aloha manuahi (free for the love of it).

I think anyone who misses a book by a man of your talents is missing out on a little piece of Hawaiian history. Looking forward to it.

Thank you.
