In 1998, Dancing Cat Records distributed a one-hour ki ho`alu CD to radio stations (for air play; not for sale), entitled "Language of Dreams", with Haunani Apoliona as "hostess". It was intended (I think) to lure radio stations to this wonderful sound!
From the CD's back cover: "A narrative history featuring interviews and musical selections from the masters of the slack key guitar". Featured musicians are Sonny Chillingworth, Ray Kane, Keola Beamer and more.
Because I haven't played this on the air for nearly 5 years, I'm going to run it on my show this Friday 6/22 from 7-8a.m. (HST). For any who are interested, you can listen online: www.kkcr.org
