I just received the most delightful correspondance from a young man in Beijing named Wang Yongwei. He told me that he had my "Fingerstyle Solos" book and asked a question about one of the arrangements. When I responded, he sent me a link to some videos he's posted of his ukulele and harmonica playing.

He plays very well, and the videos are fun. Songs include "Morning Dew," "Isa Lei", "Las Mananitas" and "All Through the Night."
I invited him to join TaroPatch. Here's hoping we hear and see much more from him soon!
Man, I gotta get busy and write some more arrangements.
Cheers,
Mark

Wow. I checked it out and it is very interesting how universal the ukulele's appeal has become. Music does break down walls. |
