In the heat of August, Roberto Casagrande says to check, and, if necessary, clean or replace the filters in your window air conditioners or heat pumps if they have become clogged with dirt.

You wouldn't want a dusty, warped ukulele due to inadequate air flow and related humidity, would you?

Well...would you? ;-)

Thank you.

Lucky you. Heat index here has been over 100 degrees Farenheit lately (In the 90s plus high humidity.) I never seem to remember to do this little chore as often as I should, so I put a "sticky note" here in case someone else forgot. (I should probably build an earth home.)

Good thing this is the "off-topic" area.

Hope nobody leaves an expensive ukulele in their trunk in this kind of weather!

Thank you.

Eek,

I made the mistake of leaving my Po Mahina ukulele in the trunk of the car while hopping into Costco on Maui. Next time I played it, Keoki Kahumoku kindly informed me that the bridge was coming up. I sent it back to its maker, Dennis Lake, who promptly gave it the kind of professional attention it needed.

But I learned my lesson! I wasn't even in Costco that long, but maybe it was the drive to Napili that finished it off.

Duh!

Julie
