The new year will find us in Kaua`i. Also a good way to start the new year.
I probably won't be near too many computers. So, I'll catch you all when we return around mid-month.

 Aloha all!
Here's wishing you all a Maui Style "Happy New Year"! I realize, that most of you are already into January 2, 2003. The time as I tack-away here on my computer is 12:25 pm 01/03 in Paia, Maui. We had a rather loud welcoming of the New Year. My neighborhood and downtown Paia was up in smoke! Yikes! But this year wasn't as extensive as the years past. About last year sometime, they passed a new fireworks law. Everyone's now required to have a permit to purchase them. It is also controled now by how many thousand per permit.
Once upon a time, we were able to buy them by the tens of thousands to 25,000 plus! Not any more tho....The explosions only lasted 45 minutes....:O( no fun! Oh well....No sooner than it began, it was all over....deadness of silence then lingered in the air....
