I'm just grateful to have a place for conversations. When I get together with friends, the topics jump all over the map. At least here, we can jump back and re-read and edit.

Ditto!

I have a suggestion... I have been having a similar problem with my business e-mails. I receive over 200 a day and I have no idea what's important, what isn't, and what directly requires my response without opening all 200 of them. The reason? The subject lines are typically inadequately descriptive of the issue. So I sat down with my colleagues and created a naming convention for the subject line of all e-mails ("Product Name/Customer Name/Issue"). Now I no longer have 100 e-mails a day with the subject line "Product Name."

It would be easier to sift through the threads at taropatch.net if the subject lines were more clear and succinct. (I mean... I jumped into this one for no good reason at all since the subject was simply "REQUEST." I thought maybe somebody needed a lyric, a translation, or some chords written out!) If we more appropriately title these threads ("Need Lyrics to...," "Need Chords to...," and I thought that "In Memoriam" was pretty aptly titled), then the rest of us can courteously reply or courteously choose to move on and ignore the fact that a thread may be under the less-than-ideal forum subject area.

Just a thought...

I'm not a proficient player of any instrument. being of Hawaiian descent and transplanted to the Mainland before this mango tree could produce any fruit, I am struggling to establish my root system before old age has it's way with me. I've "blogged" about "ohana" previously and was ignored so I won't follow that path. WE ARE FAMILY! Dysfunctional at minimum, yet packed with potential to eceed our wildest dreams. Seeing my grandfather paddle his canoe into the setting sun for the last time, killed me,I'm assured you felt the same way about Uncle Sol. Before you make a comment think about losing your ego and replacing it with ALOHA.
