This isn't strictly a music gear question although I won't be able to get to TP.net unless I can solve it. I'll be going to Kauai next Jan. and staying at places that tell me they have wireless internet service. I have an old Windows 98 laptop for traveling and need to know what would be a good wireless adapter to get for the trip. Any advice will put me ahead of where I am now - totally at sea.
You can get either a PCMCIA (card buss) adapter or a USB adapter that will give you the WiFi Transceiver. They don't cost a whole lot either. I would choose one from NetGear or Linksys if I were in a hurry, otherwise type the keyword "WiFi" or "Wireless adapter" at the Tom's Hardware or CNET websites and read the reviews.
