The second showing of this most welcomed regular event will be, as usual, on this the second Sunday of each month at the Outrigger Reef's Shorebird restaurant in Waikiki from 2-5pm.
At least half a dozen of the island's best steel players will be on hand, as well as the welcomed and expected sit-ins.
Bring your steel, or at least your okole, and have a great time!
Afterwards, you'd also do well to head down the street to the Waikiki Marriott's 3fl. pool area stage at 6pm for more great Hawaiian music of the Martin Pahinui group, also including some of the finest steel guitar around.

Oh, man, I've GOT to get back to Oahu!! Is Bobby Ingano playing with Martin? I was there for the HSGA convention in April, and to see the band on my favorite Hawaiian CD "Ho'olohe" was too much. Now the 2nd Sunday thing. Awe! |

Bobby plays with Martin. Oh do they ever sound nice. I've got plenty pictures of them playing at the Mariott. Bobby is such a great steel player. he does not overwhelm, his timing is perfect and his music sounds so sweet. Don't miss seing them if you go to O`ahu. And criminey, its for FREE. Just buy some pupus and drinks and fill the tip jar. |
