Playing with the Sons of Hawai'i was probably the best of all the memories I can recall in the 40 yrs of my music career. We (the Sons) never rehearsed for live performances. Everything that happened on stage was created before the audience. It was truly what I envisioned music to be. Totally ad lib. The experience shaped who I am in music today and the natural musical high produced when a group is on the same wavelength of creativity is truly a totally awesome experience.
