What exactly is it? Female falsetto? Falsetto in general? The break between chest and head and nothing else?

I read an article from either the Star Bulletin or the Advertiser discussing the question, and I'd like to know what you guys think, especially Bill and Jesse because you've had a lot of experience singing it.
