As I give thanks this Thursday, taropatch.net will near the top of my list -- such a lively place for fans of the music (and musicians!) of Hawai`i.
Mahalo to each and everyone of you who are active here. Nice sentiment on this site, too: http://www.cpmsglife.org/tg/2006tdm1.html

Best Thanksgiving wishes to all our `ohana here at Taro Patch.
Auntie Maria: we are very thankful for you. Without mele.com, Cleveland, Ohio would indeed be cold and dreary. You have opened up a wide world for Paul and I. He was just saying the other day the the four drawers in our CD cabinet set aside for Hawaiian music are full and there is no more room left, so that is about 80 or so CDs. That's not counting the ones I have in the car, or that Paul has in his truck; or the ones sitting on top of the cabinet because there is no room in the drawers. Thank you for giving a never-ending source of musical delights.
Andy - we are very thankful that you have breathed life into Taro Patch and made it a wonderful community of folks who appreciate the beauty in Hawaiian music, culture and history.
And to all our other Taro Patch friends, thank you so very much for sharing your wisdom and knowledge and aloha with us.
Bless you all. |
Me ke aloha Malama pono, Wanda |

And, I think we all have Ke Akua to say mahalo to as well. Without Him, we wouldn't be living in this world.

Andy - we are very thankful that you have breathed life into Taro Patch...
Nah, I am not breathing life in to anything! This community is a joy. I am lucky that such nice people have come together here to share and support this site.
I agree with you all. Thankful for the music, family, friends, food, this community, and the powers that brought us here. |

Is it proper to say "Hau'oli La Ho'omaika'i? If so, then Hau'oli La Ho'omaika'i to all. If not, then Happy Thanksgiving will have to do!! |

Have a very blessed Thanksgiving. I have a thousand reasons to give thanks to Ke Akua for all He has given.
(plus it means I can now start playing my slack key Christmas songs again) |

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all, my American cousins, a very happy Thanksgiving. On my island, it's just another day of the week, I'm afraid, but my thoughts are with you nevertheless. |

Plenty to be thankful for. Folks, food and fun. I told Jack that God smiles at us in the faces of our friends. A turkey dinner ain't so bad, either! |
