Can anyone recommend restaurants in Southern California -- LA area -- with live Hawaiian music? Would like to forward info. to fan who wants to set up an outing.
Or does anyone know of any duos or trios for hire? Mahalo

There's Bob's Okazuya on Vermont in Gardena....Thursday and Friday nights Saturday afternoon . Different groups play , Uncle Henry Kamae plays on Friday nights. Back Home in Lahaina , The one in Carson , has music on Friday and Saturday nights . HawaiianChicken.com has Music Friday nights from 6 to 11 , it's on corner of Spring and Ord in Chinatown, just above Phillipe's Kimo and Pattie , and Rick play da kine music... Mai Tai Bar in Long Beach has Hawaiian Music on some days/nights , have to check their website schedule , Kimo and Pattie play there too.
Back Home in Lahaina , HawaiianChicken.com , and Mai Tar Bar all have websites you can look up . |

Well, the Southern California Slack Key Society has its slack key guitar night every Tuesday at Kaisen's Restaurant in Oceanside from 6:30pm - 9pm.
There's the Wednesday night `ukulele gathering at a pizza parlor in Encinitas. Mika ele can give more detail.
Also, there are places in the south bay area of LA. Pua Kai can supply details. |

Weekly Wednesday evening KANIKAPIZZA at "Today's Pizza" in Encinitas, CA. (Just west of the Santa Fe Exit from I-5 in Encinitas -- north of San Diego, south of Camp Pendleton) Bring your ukulele(s). Pizza is good. Have Green Flash IPA and Stone Pale Ale on draft. 50-75 ukulele players and hula dancers. Ask for CAPT Mike. You can use my music book. |
