Aloha e Kakou,

Please excuse my absence but have been steadily and increasingly busy with work and life. I check on you all often and I'm glad to see that Slack Key is alive and well.

One of my projects this year has been training dogs. Some of you may remember Kona, my female German Shepherd. She just completed a movie in which Will Smith was the Co-Star (ha). The movie "I Am Legend" comes out tomorrow December 14 in theaters everywhere. If you happen to go, know that she loves to listen to slack key and like most of us, falls fast asleep to the nahenahe sounds of Kihoalu.

Enjoy the movie!

Aloha,

Kiwini and Kona

Congratulations to you and Kona!

Malama pono,
Leilehua

****spoiler - - don't read if you plan on seeing the movie****

I was about to walk out of the movie when Sam got attacked. The only times I was really scared was when the dog was in trouble.

My 'ohana and I have considered seeing this movie but don't know if it'll be too scary for us. For those who have seen it, how was it for you?

I'd say for the average kid (11 and up) it's not that scary or bloody. If you are like me and have issues with seeing dogs injured, then it might be one to avoid.
