There is a guy named Leonard Young in Idaho that used to make ukes with steel strings. It was called Young Ukuleles. I believe Leonard Young recently passed. Here is a link to a site where they discuss the uke(scroll down to new uke acquired). This guy may have gotten one of the last of Leonard's ukes. He has a contact and you might see what he is using for his uke.
