Anyone on Maui know anything about these children? Sometimes you stumble over something amazing, and I do believe these kids playing traditional Hawaiian music are one of those finds. I am blown away by the guitar skills of the young man, who is ony 13 years old. He plays so well, and the sounds he gets from the 12 string on Hi`ilawe are way swell. The young lady plays good `ukulele and has a wonderful beginnings of a falsetto voice. I am sure as she matures, the falsetto will get better and better. And the wee guy - he is the rythym section.
Any Maui folks, let us know about these kids. I cannot find anything about recordings or anything like that. Do they play regularly at the Ocean Center? (By the way. the restaurant there is pretty darn good).
