Aloha,
I'm looking for the lyrics/chords to Mauna'olu, as done by Eddie Kamae and the Sons on their album Yesterday & Today. Can anyone provide? Is there a forum in taropatch.net to swap lyrics? I recall the research I had to do while living in Hawaii some years ago for lyrics to songs I wanted to learn, and translations? -- well that's another story! All good fun, the search goes on!
Thanks much for sharing
Bill

I cannot find them anywhere. They are not on the liner notes and they are not on huapala.org. The original recording from whence this cut was taken is out of print. Perhaps if someone has it, the lyrics might be on there.
Bill - the best site I have found for lyrics that are not in He Mele Aloha book, is www.huapala.org.
Mauna`olu is a most excellent mele, made better by Auntie Diana Aki's voice. A most excellent CD, Yesterday and Today. Can't wait to go Honey's again in about a month. Uiha! |

Many thanks for the pointers. No luck so far, but the search goes on. Will share if I find it. :>) |

I'm not at home to check, but are the lyrics included with Amy Hanaiali`i's version on "Generation Hawai`i"? |

Wow, I don't have a copy of that one! Sounds like a good lead, though, thanks for checking! |
