Looking for anyone in the area of Northern Ohio looking to play Hawaiian music with other players, all levels welcome. You need not be Ohio residents; if we can link people with others who are within driving distance of each other that will be a start. Maybe we can even have a once a year gathering for all to join togethes. And travelers/ vacationers from any where would also be welcome to participate, even if only for one time. Reply here, we'll make a list of Y'all. Paul

I'm OK with that. We can put it on speaker phone, if we get a more sophisticated phone. At least we got it down off the pole and into the house. Do we need a special phone for conference calls? We could do that from all over the country. Hard for me to watch your hands and steat licks, though. Paul |

Good luck with your efforts Paul. Maybe Jay & I need to organize something like that down here.Seems like a shame that we don't have a regular gathering or open mic venue in the islands. Isn't "Kanikapila" a Hawaiian word???

All you gotta do is fine one place for have 'em, keep da rain off if it rains. Could be bad to touch microphone in the rain. But maybe a coffee shop or one of those awa shops or something. Just ask them to give you space with promise the attendees would buy coffee or tea or grinz from the guys, also would bring in more guests, too. Find one shop that has a normally slow time, maybe Sunday afternoon or Monday evening or whatever. Then post 'em here on Taro Patch and mebbe get lots of folks to come jam. Or, just go sit in high traffic area like Paul did Waikiki iand have the strangers just walk up and play. Then you get to know them and can just pick some place and some time to meet togedda. |

If I sit outside in Cleveland and play, people keep asking for "Zepplin, man". It works waaaay better in Duke's neighborhood, for some reason. Paul |

I knew that. This was only a test to see if you were paying attention. Yeah, that's what it was. Paul |
