I stand corrected. I just spoke with Kris on his lunch break and told him what was going on here. He said to tell you he's not shame to talk with you folks. He just has no time to go on the computer. Full time work every day and full time working on his music every night. But he's thankful for your aloha.
But I still think you are all knowledgeable adults. |

We are coming to the Big Island in November. I will make sure we get to Hilo and catch Kris at the Coffee Shop. Maybe Uncle Dave will have a ukulele I can by from him by then. Les |

K kala mai, disregard my last post about Kris at Kopa Kopa, his dad posted this info last month. Doesn't that have a poetic ring to it? "Kris at Kopa KOpa" - hey Chuck, tell Bob let's meet at Kopa Kopa tomorrow night. |

Les - I'm in Lanai Veteran's Day Long weekend but in Hilo otherwise that month. I have tons of baritones lying around and you can play the 1960 Martin. We go do Mrs. Robinson together, Paul and Art style. We go see Kris Thursday night. My home phone 959-1776. I'll pick you up at the airport. I come to this taropatch now and then so best to email me at daveheaukulani @ yahoo.com which I check everyday. a hui hou. |

Sooo Sorry Uncle Dave!!! I haven't come here in a while and now I see that you were planning to go to Kope Kope last week. I feel really bad. Kris and Mama were set to play that night (9/18/08), but that day during work, a box of tomato cans dropped on Kris's right thumb and smashed it! His thumbnail turned all purple. I thought was going fall off! He tried to play his ukulele but jumped in pain when the string just touched his thumbnail. So, that afternoon I had to call Kope Kope and cancel his performance for that evening.
It looks like his thumb is doing better because he was playing again at home last night. His next time at Kope Kope will be on 10/2/08 from 7p to 9p. He's set to play every 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursday night of each month there. Since there are 5 Thursday's in October, he will play on 10/30/08 too. By the way, Mama's name is Keiko. She will be playing with him every night too. I keep his schedule up to date at www.krisfuchigami.com in the upcoming performances section. K-den. Tanks again! |

Hi Uncle Dave... just wanted to let you know that your bugging of EHCC must have worked because they asked Kris to perform there this Friday night (3/20/09) from 7:30p-9:30p. Tickets are on sale for $15 (presale) and $18 (at the door that evening).
So, if anyone is interested, I hope you folks can make it! |
