Sorry about being slow to post these goodies. Someone screwed up her word file and forgot to save it before she somehow deleted the whole shebang. Then someone had to redo a week's worth of work. Then someone got busy making almond float, which was delicious by the way. I used 2% low fat evaporated milk.

Anyhow, this week we have all kinds of fantastic music to watch. It may take you a week to go through it all. Hoaikane has been very busy putting up new videos for us to watch. There are ones from the Big Island Festival and there are ones from the Maui Slack Key Festival. There is a new one by Fran Guidry and just all kinds of other gems.

The Willie K. "We are the World" is fantastic!

You Tube – week of July 27, 2008

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbF1GRvC-00 – Fran Guidry playing Pauoa Liko Ka Lehua ever so sweetly. It is beautiful. And Fran, there is only half of you there in the film. Man, you have lost plenty of weight!

http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=hoaikane&p=r – Our friend, Ho`aikane has been very, very busy, it seems. He has posted choke videos from Pakele Live. You can use this link to go to his You Tube page to see videos of Uncle Willie K’s great time at Pakele Live (also posted under Performance Reviews – Braddah Ed was kind enough to share them with us when he tracked them down). What is so amazing is Willie doing “We are the World” and doing the voices of all those people who were in the original video years ago. Priceless. Ho`aikane, whoever you are, you da man. Thank you so much for putting this for us to see. In addition, you will find Pilioha (especially check out God Bless My Daddy – you’d think you were listening to Hui `Ohana), Howard Ai and `ohana; Kealoha Kalama and Hoku Zuttermeister & Ione Burns.

http://www.youtube.com/user/easthawaiiculture - This is a link to more of the Big Island Hawaiian Music Festival. Plenty swell stuff to see, the final kanikapila. There is someone named Ikaika Marzo. Blew me away, I tell you. Who is he? Does anyone know anything about him? Does he have a CD? Also Sean Robbins; John Keawe, Cyril & Peter Moon, Jr., and many more.

Also more of the Big Island Festival from “hiloliving” – Stephen Inglis sounding so nice and also one of John Keawe and Cyril w/Peter Moon, Jr.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXrl-Oi12Bg – nice slack key from darchangel08.

http://www.youtube.com/user/ak00stik - Here is a link to the students and teachers from the Kahumoku Music Camp performing at the Maui Slack Key Festival. If you were on the stage, let us know so we can tell you how swell you were! Good hula, good music. Oooh, that Norton Buffalo can blow dat harp!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uV9TqfAFvHs&feature=related – Martin Pahinui singing ever so sweetly, oh, OK, and his bradda Cyril also, too. And a couple mokes they hung around wit – Peter Moon & Bobby Hall. Playing Maunaloa at the Pahinui home in Waimanalo. 1982. What a voice Martin has. Cute, too, yeah?

http://www.youtube.com/user/kawika96797 - This guy, Kawika96797, has a bunch of very precious videos on here. Alvin K. Isaaacs, Aunty Alice; Aunty Irmgard; John Almeida. People we have only read about. It is so exciting to be able to see them alive and sharing their talents with the world. He lives Waipahu and is 52 years old, so if any you guys know him, tell him Mahalo nui loa from Auntie Wanda.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdH7foNCqos – Keonepax – Flying, with hula by Kanoe Miller. Beautiful hula, I might add.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDVQfxV34fc - Waiaulu – These guys say they are just practicing. Holy smokes! Fantastic! Blake Haili: Lead Vocal/Guitar, Henry Leoiki: Harmony/Bass, Kainoa Louis: Harmony/Ukulele

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_en5Kub_wes – Brothers Rusty & Ricky playing nice `ukulele and singing. Good to see the younger generation jamming. Good job, guys.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uilCiAVfFCo Tears on my Pillow on da `ukulele. Good job, guys.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hek7tGKfyrY – A group called Ka`ena playing Haleakala Ku Hanohano.
