Bruddah Joe Spencer and I were practicing for a concert at Hulihee Palace, and I recorded it with my tiny little video camera. I stripped out the audio and created this mp3. South Sea Island Magic is a beautiful song that you may not hear very often. The first time I heard it was on an album with More Keale and Ken Emerson providing steel guitar.
I have that album. Too bad Uncle Moe didn't record more when he was alive. He was a friend and a very sweet guy. He didn't live too far from me and I saw him at his massage place at Windward Mall. He used to give killer massages. I hurt for three days after one!!!
