For those who don't know, Kamehameha Schools has a distance learning program for adults called "A'o Makua" which has a number of short (3-4 week) computer classes on subjects such as 'olelo (language), mo'olelo (story) and mo'oku'auhau (genealogy). The classes are only $25, and if you complete the course requirements (which usually consist of introducing yourself, completing a course evaluation and doing one or two projects) they send nifty incentives like books and posters. To celebrate National Distance Learning Week, all adults, 18 and older, who log onto the website between Nov 10th and Nov 14th can earn a coupon for a free A'o Makua course.
I have taken all the courses offered so far and have enjoyed them very much. Anyone who is interested can visit the website at http://ksdl.ksbe.edu
