Aloha everyone
from the snowy shores of Erie. I found the Taropatch a few weeks ago and was thrilled...it is pretty lonely up here for uke & slack key players, and if there ever is a kanikapila up here, I would love it. I got a ukulele 9 years ago as a gift, and originally had no idea how to play it. I just kept plucking, and figured out melodies, chords and effects from stuff I found online. My other favorite music is slack key...Led Kaapana, Keola Beamer, George Kuo and Ray Kane are my favorites.
The posts are fun to read...and taropatch seems like a nice online group. The posts in pidgin are a trip, takes me right back when I was young.
Happiness is playing ukulele in the night time Tobias

Welcome Tobias! You are freezing just like us over here in Cleveland. Hey, Buffalo is not too far away. Maybe one day we could meet half-way, maybe Erie, PA and get some jamming going on Or occasionally we have been known to bop up to Niagara Falls. But eh, let's wait until summer, yeah?
And you are definitely right! Taro Patch is a very nice on-line group, one big family. |

quote: My intent is to generate novel approaches to oral health care through the synergism of expertise in basic life sciences, clinical science and clinical practice. Therefore, I am currently looking at the molecular interaction of fibrinogen and antibodies, which appears to bridge hemostatic and immune systems, affecting numerous possible biologic outcomes such as effective blood clotting and infection resistance. In addition, I am collaborating with Ivoclar on novel uses of their Odyssey Laser system for the treatment of periodontal disease. Lastly, I am striving for excellence in the treatment of periodontal disease as a means to discover novel and cost-effective approaches to periodontal disease.

All he is saying is he wants to take new ways of taking care da mout through biology, research and actual hands-on. He is looking to see how da clotting tings in yo koko and dat germ killing tings ina koko -- how dey work or no work when get da bad teef. Also he playin wit someones laser (which is really one acronym) to come up with new and cheap ways fo fix da mout when get da gum disease. Hoo, boy, cheap sure would be good. I pay da dendiss guy planny kala, planny.
At least I not like Joe Marshall have a liddo keikimahine chrai for put da denchas inna dogs mouf. And one time small kid time, our dog wen kakaroach mama's denchas and she chasing him all ova da house. I buss up but mama not so happy. |

Hoo so many replies. Yeah, taking care o da gum diseas by day, play da uke by night. My pidgin kinda small, cuz no locals around fo long time. Lets wait till summer until the snow melts...between Buffalo and Cleveland they have got couple feet of snow. Wonder if one could create a virtual kanikapila using Messenger or some other Internet Video Phone service. Have to look into that. |

If you are serious about that idea, google "Ninjam", which is a world-wide music jamming system that solves the speed-of-light problem in an unusual way.
I cannot Ninjam, as I do not have wideband at home yet.

I tink Keonepax does some kine virtual jamz wit folks all ova da worl. Keonepax is in Japan for long time but from Hawai`i. He has jammed with braddah Sam (olu143) in real person.
If anyone can figgah way for jam tru da intanet, me and Paul would be up for that sure as anykine. I'm hoping Santa Claus will bring me one flip camera like Braddah Kawiks get, den I can put Paul on top da You Tube.
Oooh yeah - come nice weather we go Presque Isle in Erie. Lilobit jamming, lilobit visit da casino. Lass time I make $80 wen me & my girlfriend go for girls day off. And there is a Cracker Barrel restaurant right by I-90 for eat dinnah hillbilly kine. The blackberry cobbler, oooh, broke da mout ono. |

I went to the Ninjam website and sounds interesting...I'll download their software over the holidays and see if I can get it to work. I'll get back to this post if it looks like it could work, and start a new topic in the main uke section to give it a try.
