I've just completed this guitar. It is an experiment to test the theory put forth by Grimes that a modified bracing pattern and sound hole placement enhances the sound of small bodied guitars. This guitar is based on a Martin 000 plan with modified bracing a la Grimes. It is made of Sitka spruce and Indian Rosewood. I would say that the experiment is an unqualified success - it blows my Taylor 414 away. It will be my goto axe!

It's beautiful, wish we could all hear it.

What? You mean high "E" is the TOP string. No way dude! That changes everything!

I second Raymond's question.
Also, where did you find info on the bracing?

I'm pretty booked up until summer 2009 with furniture and guitar projects. Send me a PM about that time. I have a DVD of Beamer where he interviews Grimes. In the interview he shows both steel string and nylon string bracing configurations. I adapted the bracing to the 000 plan. Rich
