Hey Uncle Paul and Auntie Wanda, check this out. They were fishing from shore, and look what they caught.

Norman - that is a pretty cool story. I've heard of muskies over here swallowing license plates, beer cans and whatever other trash that the fools throw inna water. No watches, though.
I was watching some fishing show early this morning (better than infomercials at 5 a.m.), and some Australian guy goes all over fishing...extreme fishing. He was going after some kind of humongous catfish that looked more like giant puhi but they had one humongous mouth and da buggahs are mean and bite people onna legs and pull them under water and drown the people and then eat them. But this was in Malaga, Spain. I think this same guy went noodling for catfish down in Joe-jah. That is something I would never do. Yikes. Anybldy does that is a fool because snapping turtles live in the same pukas lots of times and everybody knows what happens if a snapping turtle snaps his jaws on you. He never lets loose unless the sun goes down or unless it thunders. |

Wanda, you got that right for sure. Anybody that desperate for a catfish dinner needs to have THEIR noodle examined. |

Paul, You can pack a fly rod and reel (no stinkum) and get yer flies in Honolulu. There are trout up in Kokee (on Kauai) and some good bonefish in the flats. There is probably some guide that can take you out fly fishing for Mako Shark. |

A few years back on O`ahu, Paul went shark fishing at night time on a charter. Ha- they were feeding the shark ahi for bait when Paul just had ahi for dinnah at a restaurant. He nevah catch no mano. Paul is happy to have fish 3 meals a day when we are in Hawai`i. Now if I can just keep him away from the RAW fish. After all, I am an old lady. |

This missle guy says he was fishing off Florida, but it sounds more like Kaho`olawe to me. I don't think I have a big enough fly rod for salt water. My stuff is trout sized. Actually, none of my rods are big enough for ocean fish. We don't grow that kinda stuff here in Ohio. I've seen the tackle on ocean charters- I fillet & eat smaller fish than what you see used for bait in Hawai`i. 'Couse, I hafta COOK 'em for Auntie Wanda. Diabetics don't eat raw fish. Wanda says "Where I come from, they call that BAIT!" Paul |
