Who would have thought a Hawaiian would go to Japan and become a sensation over there? He's earned his retirement. Congratulations Jesse Kuhaulua! When he first went over to Japan in '62, he was placed in a position of semi-servitude. He was detested by a lot of the older traditionalists in the sport and he earned his advancement every step of the way. He lasted it out, and went on to become (at the time) one of Japan's heros. He stayed in the sport so long, I think his detractors are all dead now.
I used to drink beer with his brother Mike, who's only a little smaller....only about 385 LOL!
I cannot believe he has to be that old to retire from such a sport. Look at baseball players. If you hit 40 you are old and washed up. If you hit 40 in football, you don't have any brains anymore cause of the concussions. If you hit 40 in basketball, you gots no knees left.
