Sloppy work by the Advertiser led to two omissions from this list, both ones of great interest to TaroPatch members ---
Entertainers of the Year: Led Kaapana & Mike Kaawa
Slack-key album: "Hawai`i Island...Is My Home," John Keawe (Homestead) |

Kudos to Pali Ka`aihue for all his work organizing this year's Na Hoku Hanohano Awards event. The crowd was in full "party mode", with lots of hugging and kissing in the lobby before the show began -- and then more hugs of congratulations for all who took an award. Dinner was great, the show was -- as always -- long. But the true barometer of how good it was, was that nearly the entire audience was still there to sing "Hawai`i Aloha" at the end!

Congratulations to all. An amazing amount of talent in one place.
While watching the vids of this year's awards, I just had to go back and revisit the videos from last year as well.
All I got to say is Kelly Boy DeLima knocked me over. WOW! |

Thanks for posting up the K5 link. Cool how they paired the groups up to play together.
I kind of liked the Rebel Souljah/Sean Naauao performance.
