Well, the big news on the videos for this week are the ones that came from Duke, Derek, Zack, Ozzie, Uncle Braddah, the Abrigo `Ohana and all them jillion oddah guys such as Kalei Gamaio, Greg Sardinha, etc. Lanet was so very kind to video lots of good music for the rest of us to share in the fun.

Also on Lanets page listed above are 4 videos that Lanet filmed of Bla Pahinui at a fundraiser for the Waialua Community Association. It is so nice to see that Lanet's kids got to hear Uncle Bla make some music.

Gabe is a nice kid and young talent from Maui (I think). I met him last year at Uncle George Kahumoku's Maui workshop, where he was one of several very talented scholarship students. He is a very good ukulele player and was learning slack key at the workshop.

Here are some ukulele clips from a couple of years ago (these are tame vs. the shredding he was doing at the workshop): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVZ4T0VTgS0 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRvJ_0FiPkY&feature=channel_page

Here's an original tune he wrote in Taropatch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzx7qGTU1t0&feature=channel_page . Very nahenahe.

Great to see him on the guitar and singing too!

Aloha,
Doug

Also on Lanet's page, I found this video of Taropatcher Bill Wynne sitting in with the Keawe 'Ohana at the Marriott

Shawn - those Randy Lorenzo videos were pretty swell. He sure puts everything he's got emotionally into his music. That's what I like, someone who is not afraid to put his/her all into it.
