Anyone have any experience with this capo? It looks great for going from Taropatch F to Drop C during the inevitable key changes at a kanikapila. (It only touches strings 1 through 5 leaving the low 6th string open.)

Could be good. I've seen split capos for Keltic music.

You can use a regular Kyser to do that. Just adjust it so it only sits on 1-5 on fret 2. You are now playing in dropped E :) If your guitar neck shape won't let you do that easily - just take a regular Kyser and cut of an appropriate amount of the rubber. This is how folks did it before Kyser started making their 'partial' coverage capos. Simple to cut one to do what you want.
